Biff Johnson and Shelley Andrews The big,rich,and uplifting sounds of hardwired sequencing at its best is back with new twists. This is a very broad palette here. All the epochs of this genre of electro music get a visit from Steve in his astute way. The presentation is fantastic as always and the sound is tough and pristine at the same time. Great themes and grooves abound in a most uplifting and positive way. There is plenty of reflection to ponder during the final track as it hangs in the vortex. This is now ! Favorite track: Unseen Hand.

Demonic Sweaters Steve Roach has always been a huge inspiration to me. His music is timeless, spiritual, hypnotic, and engrossing. I got it on CD and it sounds amazing. The CD came packed with such care, and inside there were several postcards with info and a very cool one of Steve in 2016 and on the reverse in 1983. There's such clarity and depth when listening on headphones. I greatly admire this man's dedication to his art and consistency over so many years. This is essential Steve Roach. Favorite track: We Continue.

The spiral – a visual symbol of eternity – is a reoccurring metaphoric theme in Steve Roach’s vast electronic work. Interpreted into musical form, these six spiraling sonic experiences offer a living activation that connects us with a sense of the infinite. Roach’s long history and love of analog sequencer-based styles reveal a continuing, evolving awakening within Spiral Revelation’s 63 minutes. Using only analog and hardware instruments to focus the mind’s ear upon a filigree of intricate patterns woven with a direct hands-on approach, the artist sculpts and caresses sound into being in real time. An emotional through-line brings life to these pieces as the unfurling of time’s windings connects to the vivid present, life-affirming and illuminated.
